Your Santa Rides Guide: Know Before You Go

Get ready for three festive nights as Santa and his crew ride through Kyle, bringing holiday cheer to each side of town.
A child on an adult's shoulders watches a festive holiday parade float with Santa, a snowman, a reindeer, and Christmas decorations pass by in a suburban neighborhood at dusk.

One of Kyle’s favorite holiday traditions is back! Wave hello to Santa and his helpers (Grinch included) as Santa Rides through Kyle. It all starts on Tuesday, December 9 in Northeast Kyle, hitting Southeast Kyle on Wednesday, Dec. 10, and finishes up in West Kyle on Thursday, Dec. 11.  Santa starts his ride at 5 p.m. each night and goes through town until about 8:30 p.m. (or however long it takes Santa and his crew to finish the route).

This year, Santa has a whole posse of friends joining him. Leading the way will be the Kyle Fire Department and the Kyle Police Department, ensuring a safe route for Santa and his crew all the way through town. Also joining Santa will be Hays County CERT, the Hays CISD Polar Express, and the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department.

To help keep everyone safe and smiling, please follow these Santa Ride safety tips:

Santa and friends may pause for short breaks to keep the holiday magic running smoothly. If they’re stopped, please resist the urge to run up for photos. Even magical folk need a moment to reset!
