A brand new park is coming to life in Kyle, and you get to help shape it!
The Lake Kensington Nature Park, located between Kensington Trails and Southlake Ranch off Dacy Lane, is a future community gem that’s currently in the design phase.
This coming Thursday, August 21 from 6-8 p.m. the Kyle Parks and Recreation Department invites members of our Kyle community to join us for the Lake Kensington Nature Park Open House at 208 Republic Drive, Suite A to learn more about what’s in the works and share your ideas.
The Open House starts at 6 p.m. with a presentation on the park’s origin, big-picture goals, and how it ties into Kyle’s Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Master Plan. We’ll also talk about what has already been done, what’s next and then open it up for any questions.
After that, it’s a relaxed, come-and-go format where you can wander through different stations, check out maps, talk to city staff and design professionals, and give feedback on everything from parking and connectivity to the park’s look and feel. Your input will help us make sure this space reflects the needs and vision of the community.
So bring your ideas, your neighbors, and your questions and concerns because the future of the Lake Kensington Nature Park is being built with you in mind.
Can’t make it, no worries. Stay tuned, there will be more opportunities to ask questions and provide input on Kyle’s next great outdoor space.
