Safety improvements are underway in the Amberwood subdivision.
Following conversations with community members, new ‘No Parking Zones’ have been introduced on both sides of Amberwood North and the south side of Amberwood South to keep traffic and emergency vehicles moving safely.
Previously, vehicles parked on both sides of these streets were creating a potential hazard, as the existing pavement width does not support parking on both sides while allowing safe passage for traffic and emergency vehicles.
Parking will still be permitted on a portion of one side of Amberwood South, ensuring residents and guests can enjoy convenient parking while giving more room to travel safely.
Fresh curb paint and clear signage was put in place by City of Kyle crews on Monday, August 11 and the change went into effect on Tuesday, August 12.
This improvement comes after the Amberwood HOA reached out to the City to explore ways to enhance roadway safety.
This project is a great example of neighbors and city staff teaming up to make our streets safer. We are grateful for the community’s support in reaching out about the safety concerns and making this change happen.
