Spooky season is over and the holidays are still a month away, but don’t worry, the City of Kyle has plenty in store for November. Here’s a look at what’s happening around town from free live music, to native tree giveaways, a totally radical 80’s Skate Night and a Saturday morning with the birds.
Jams on the Green – Nov. 6
As the sun sets over La Verde Park, bring your lawn chairs, friends, and family and enjoy an evening of FREE live music, local eats, and great company at Jams on the Green at La Verde Park on Thursday, Nov. 6 from 6 – 9 p.m.
The night kicks off with Yesenia and the Groove Doctors from 6 – 7:30 p.m., followed by The Grooves from 7:30 – 9 p.m.
Don’t forget your lawn chairs, and maybe a blanket or two and enjoy the last Jams on the Green of 2025 under the autumn, night sky.


Movies in the Park – Nov. 7
Grab your sweetheart or action enthusiast and brace yourself for daring stunts and thrilling adventures for a showing of The Fall Guy (PG-13, 126 min.) at the November Movie in the Park on Friday, November 7 at Gregg-Clarke Park.
The movie, an action-comedy following the life of a Hollywood stuntman as he unravels a plot intended for him to take ‘The Fall’ (get it, get it?) starts at sundown, approximately 7 p.m.

Texas Arbor Day – Nov. 7
There’s no better way to celebrate Texas Arbor Day than by planting a tree and we’re to help. Register to take part in the Texas Arbor Day Native Tree Giveaway on Friday, November 7 from 5-7 p.m. at the Community Garden at Post Oak, 193 Goddard.
Pre-registration is required as supplies are limited and trees will only distributed to those with confirmed reservations. Each person that registers will receive one free 1-gallon native tree. Tree options include Mexican Plum, Mexican Buckeye, Desert Willow, and Sandpaper Tree, all species well-suited to our local climate and soils.

Veteran’s Day Parade & Market Days – Nov. 8
Honor local Veterans at the 2025 Veterans Day Parade and Market Days on Saturday, Nov. 8 in downtown Kyle. The parade starts moving from Gregg-Clarke Park to Center Street at 11:45 a.m.
The Veterans Day Parade happen in conjunction with Kyle Market Days, which includes live music, local vendors, arts and crafts, farm-to-market items, and more from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson Park.

Dino-Vember at the Library – Nov. 8
Dinosaurs have invaded the library! Stop by the Kyle Public Library on Saturday, November 8 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. for dino-themed activities including dinosaur excavation, fossil making, crafts, and more. This event is designed for children aged 18 months to 5 years.
Ash Pavilion 80’s Skate Night – Nov. 14
Take a trip back to when the hair was big, cassette tapes and boomboxes held your Spotify playlists, and your bookshelves had at least one set of encyclopedias.
Now head to the closet, dust off those rollerblades and register for Ash Pavilion 80’s Skate Night on Thursday, November 14 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.
This is an all-ages event, but those under 16 must be accompanied by a chaperone or parent/guardian that is 21 or older. Skates and skate aids are not provided. Registration and a small fee is required, sign up at KyleRec.RecDesk.com.
Austin Typewriter, Ink – Nov. 15
Calling vintage typewriter enthusiasts of all ages! Try out using a typewriter courtsey of Austin Typewriter, Ink at the Kyle Public Library on Saturday, November 15 from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Drop in any time during this event to write your own short message, poem, or note on a typewriter.
Sound Healing – Nov. 21
Take a moment to relax with a sound bath at the Kyle Public Library on Friday, November 21 at 10 a.m. This session includes movement to settle in and soothing sounds for relaxation. Singing bowls, Gong, and Koshi Chimes will fill the air with harmonic frequencies to resonate with your body, mind and soul. The sounds and vibrations will help promote relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being, encouraging you to focus on sound and being present. This event is for adults aged 18 and older.
Gobble Gobble! Thanksgiving for Kids – Nov. 22
Come and share your gratitude at the Kyle Public Library with a variety of crafts for the littles on Saturday, November 22 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. This is a come-and-go event for children ages 3 to 12 years.
Conservation Division Events
Though the weather is turning everything a bit brown, the Conservation Division of the Kyle Parks and Recreation Department has several unique and fun events that will keep that thumb green all winter long including:
Organic Gardening 101 – Nov. 15: Curious about organic gardening? Want to know more about how to get started? Register for the Organic Gardening 101 class set for Saturday, November 15 at the Community Garden at Post Oak from 10 – 11 a.m.
Master Naturalist Trail Clean-Up – Nov. 20: Help us remove invasive, aggressive plants to support native species and keep our natural spaces thriving on Thursday, November 20 from 8 – 10 a.m. at Steeplechase Park. All skill levels are welcome but please bring your own tools, gloves, boots and eye protection.
Trail Maintenance Volunteer Day – Nov. 22: Be a part of Kyle’s Trail Stewardship Program! This new, city-sponsored initiative aims to build a network of trained volunteer leaders and community members committed to the maintenance and restoration of Kyle’s trail system. Join us Saturday, November 22 at Waterleaf Park from 8 – 11 a.m. and take part in trail clean-up, minor repairs, and conservation efforts.
Master Naturalist Led Bird Walk – Nov. 22: Spend your Saturday morning with the birds on Saturday, November 22 from 8 – 10 a.m. at Lae Kyle Park, 700 Lehman Rd. Participants will learn how to properly use binoculars, identify local and migrating bird species (such as ducks, herons, raptors, and sparrows in surrounding fields), and enjoy the beauty of nature at a relaxed pace.
