Curious about the road construction happening around Kyle or wondering when the next road improvement project will begin? Join us for a 2022 Road Bond focused Community Open House on Wednesday, July 29 from 6:30 – 8 p.m. at the Lehman High School Library and get answers straight from the source.

This free, community event will be held in an informal, come-and-go format, where anyone can drop-in, speak directly with city staff, project engineers, and city leaders. The open house will feature updates on several road projects funded through the 2022 Road Bond Program, including projects currently under construction:

And projects about to get underway:
- Bunton Creek Road
- Kyle Parkway and Lehman Extension
- Old Stagecoach Road
- Center Street East (on-system)
The projects are designed to improve mobility, enhance safety, reduce congestion, and strengthen transportation infrastructure throughout Kyle. The Road Bond Projects were passed as part of Proposition A in November 2022 with nearly 65 percent of Kyle voters in favor of the improvements. Since then, one of the eight projects, the Marketplace Avenue Extension, is complete, four others are under construction.

In addition to road bond updates, residents can learn more about an upcoming investment in Kyle’s water system, the Lehman Road pump station and ground storage tank expansion. The project involves the construction of a new ground storage tank, pump station, and an operations building that includes parking, site access, and upgraded security features.
Once complete, the expanded facility will increase on-site water storage capacity from 500,000 gallons to approximately 3.5 million gallons which will help meet current residential demand while preparing for future growth.
Join us! Ask questions, review project plans, and tell us what you think about current and future infrastructure initiatives!
