Families, coaches, and young athletes came together this season as the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department debuted its youth flag football program.
This first season featured six teams, nine volunteer coaches, and 36 players ages 3 to 4 years old. Throughout the season, players learned the fundamentals of teamwork, sportsmanship, and flag football while having fun on the field.

“We could not have asked for a better first season,” said Parks and Recreation Athletics Coordinator Brooke Collins. “Watching these young athletes learn the game and gain confidence each week was incredibly rewarding. We are so thankful for our coaches, volunteers, and families who made this season such a success.”

Looking ahead, families still have opportunities to get involved with Parks and Recreation programming. Registration for Fall Wee-Ball and Tee-Ball opens on July 1. More details and registration for all Parks and Recreations programs are available at kylerec.recdesk.com.

As the season comes to a close, we celebrate the hard work and enthusiasm of all our young athletes and look forward to continuing to grow the program in future seasons.
