Kyle’s inaugural Summer T-ball season concluded on August 11, with 118 young athletes taking part in the City’s first organized T-ball program.
The season brought together local families and volunteers for a summer centered on teamwork, skill-building, and community. Forty volunteer coaches helped foster a positive atmosphere for players and families alike.

“Seeing the kids grow each week, and the involved, cheering families was a reminder of how important these programs are for our community,” said Parks and Recreation Athletics Coordinator Brooke Collins.
The T-ball league focused on game fundamentals, fair play, and inclusive participation. Parents appreciated the supportive environment, noting that their children learned and grew in a welcoming setting.
Kyle Parks and Recreation noted the season would not have been such a success without the motivated volunteer coaches and their time, energy, patience, and dedication.

The strong turnout and enthusiastic feedback points to growing interest in accessible youth sports in Kyle. The success of this debut season is a promising sign as recreation offerings continue to evolve.
Looking ahead, families still have opportunities to get involved with Parks and Recreation programming. Signups are currently open for fall tennis lessons for ages 5 to 15 and fall youth basketball registration opens in September. As for T-ball, this is just the beginning. Plans are already underway for next season.
