Election season in Kyle isn’t over just yet. While some City Council races were decided on Tuesday, November 4, others are heading into a December runoff that will determine key leadership positions for our community.
Following Election Day, the results were officially canvassed and approved on Thursday, November 13. Shortly after, Kyle welcomed its newest council members—Melisa Medina, representing District 2, and Claudia Zapata, representing District 3—who were sworn into office on Tuesday, November 18.
However, two races remain undecided. City Council District 1 and the City of Kyle Mayoral seat did not produce a candidate with the required majority, triggering a runoff election in December. Voters in these districts will once again head to the polls to determine who will fill these important roles.
