The seasons change, but one thing remains the same—the library is here with programs and activities for every age group. From cozy storytimes and hands-on discovery for children, to exciting teen nights, to creative workshops and relaxing experiences for adults, our fall calendar is packed with opportunities to learn, connect, and celebrate together.

Children’s Programs

The youngest library visitors can look forward to a season filled with imagination and discovery. Weekly storytimes continue to be a favorite way to introduce kids to books and reading. This fall, we have a special addition of PJ Storytime every 2nd and 4th Wednesday at 6 p.m., designed to help kids get their wiggles out and wind down with a story before bedtime.

Kids can explore and learn more about the world around them through programs like Discovery Time every 1st and 3rd Friday, where kids can discover and explore sensory experiences, and STEAM Wednesdays every 1st and 3rd Wednesday, where science, technology, engineering, art, and math come together in creative activities that make learning exciting.

We also have special seasonal events like Wee Halloween, Gobble Gobble! Thanksgiving for Kids and Let it Snow! that promise festive fun for our little learners.

Teen Programs

This fall, Tuesdays are all about teens! From craft nights, makerspace fun, and more, there is always something happening at the library for teens.

Mark your calendars for October 18, when Haunted San Antonio: A Magic Show takes the stage. It’s the perfect way to get into the Halloween spirit! Expect a mix of creepy vibes and magic that will leave you spellbound.

With school in session, we’ve got you covered too. Teen Study Hall in December offers a quiet, focused space to prepare for exams and finish the semester strong.

Adult Programs

Adults can take advantage of programs that focus on relaxation, creativity, and lifelong learning.

From exploring your artistic side to finding new ways to relax, there’s something for everyone. Try a new hobby with Beginner Watercolor on October 30, melt away stress at Sound Healing on November 21, or create something totally unique at the Collage Applique workshop on December 4. If you’re feeling adventurous, you can learn isolations, shimmies, and flowing combinations at Belly Dancing on December 12!

The fun doesn’t stop there! We also have recurring programs to keep your calendar full all season long. Check out Community Coffee (2nd Fridays) for a friendly conversation, KPL Puzzlers (2nd and 4th Wednesdays) for a fun challenge, and Adult Craft Night (2nd Thursdays) for a creative outlet.

Whether you are looking to relax, connect, or simply try something new, our adult programs provide a welcoming space to explore your interests.

All-Ages Programs

Don’t worry, we have plenty of programs for the whole family to enjoy together! On November 15 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Austin Typewriter, Ink will be at the library. Stop by to create poems, letters, or short stories using a vintage typewriter and give your words a one-of-a-kind look.

We also have something special for our homeschool community. Every 3rd Monday, join us for Connect and Explore – Homeschool where we will offer information on how the library can assist in educational needs, create fun crafts, and supply games for some friendly competition. This is a great place to meet other homeschool families and continue learning beyond the classroom!

Looking to learn more about library resources? Don’t miss eBooks and eAudiobooks 101 on November 14 and December 12 to learn more about our collections and how to connect, browse, and checkout digital items from our online libraries.

This fall at Kyle Public Library, there’s truly something for everyone—from toddlers hearing their first story to adults discovering new passions. Our programs are more than just events; they’re opportunities to connect, explore, and celebrate the season together.

So mark your calendars, bring your friends and family, and join us for a fall filled with learning, laughter, and community at the library. Find our complete list of fall programs and descriptions at https://www.cityofkyle.com/library/page/library-programs.
