The City of Kyle will host a general election on Nov. 3, 2026.
This year, residents will vote for City of Kyle Mayor and City Council Districts 2 and 4. The candidate filing period for the 2026 election begins on Saturday, July 18 and the deadline to file for all open positions is 5 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 17.
City Council Districts 2 and 4 are single-member districts, meaning only residents who live within those districts may vote for their respective council member. The mayor is elected at-large, allowing all registered City of Kyle voters to participate in the mayoral election regardless of where they live within the city. All positions serve a three-year term.

Interested candidates should file their applications at the City Secretary’s Office on the 2nd floor of the Kyle Public Safety Center at 1700 Kohlers Crossing. Applications for a place on the ballot must be notarized. The City Secretary’s Office offers this service at no charge. Please make an appointment to ensure staff availability.
